Duomo and Last Supper in one day
A Duomo and Last Supper tour is really two visits in two places. Leonardo's painting hangs in the refectory next to Santa Maria delle Grazie, at the Museo del Cenacolo Vinciano, Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie 2. It is not in the cathedral. The two sights have separate reservations, and no joint ticket exists for both.
That is fine for one day, as long as you book the Last Supper first. Its slots are limited, while Duomo tickets are easier to place around it. For the cathedral side, see the Duomo tickets and the guided Duomo tours.

Our picks: Duomo and Last Supper
Our take: the three-hour tour covers both with a reserved Last Supper slot; the bus tour adds La Scala; the full day also takes in the Sforza courtyards.

How to book the Last Supper
Reservations are always required, even for babies and free tickets.
Prices 2026
Regular admission is €15. Under 18 is free. Visitors from 18 up to the day before their 25th birthday pay €2 if they qualify as EU citizens or hold a documented equivalent status. Not every international student qualifies. Check the booking page for any current booking fee before you pay.
Where to buy
Use the museum's official ticket channel. Online you can book up to 5 tickets at once, the call center takes up to 9, and groups of 10 or more go through the group channel.
When tickets appear
Tickets are released in blocks, usually a few months ahead. The block for September to December 2026 was released on 23 June 2026 at 12:00. Extra tickets are added on Wednesdays at 12:00 for the following week, online only and for individual visitors. Release dates can change, so look at the booking page early rather than relying on a fixed rhythm.
At the museum
Be at the museum ticket desk at least 30 minutes before the start and show ID. Once validated, be at the museum entrance at least 15 minutes before your slot. Bulky luggage is not allowed, and the few emergency lockers allow a maximum of 60 minutes.
The Last Supper is open Tuesday to Sunday from 8:15 to 19:00, with last entry at 18:45. It is closed on Mondays, on 1 January and on 25 December, apart from special openings.
Getting between the two
Use the metro, and leave a buffer.
The Duomo station is on lines M1 and M3. For the Last Supper, the recommended stops are Cadorna or Conciliazione on M1, or Cadorna on M2. From Duomo that means M1 towards Cadorna, then a short walk. Look up the walk and the current train times in a map app on the day.
Do not plan a minute-by-minute schedule. The Last Supper slot is fixed, and the Duomo has its own entry rules: the booked time matters for the roof and the cathedral, and the operator allows about 30 minutes either side at its discretion. See getting to the Duomo for the metro and tram lines.

The Duomo side of the day
Pick the Duomo ticket after you know your Last Supper time.
Cathedral, museum and San Gottardo
The standard ticket costs €10, or €5 reduced, in 2026. It does not include the roof. On Wednesdays the museum is closed and a cathedral-only ticket costs €8, or €4 reduced.
Combo with the roof
The combo ticket costs €22 with the stairs and €26 with the lift in 2026, with reduced prices of €11 and €13. The lift only reaches the first level, and stairs lead to the upper terrace. Your ticket carries a booked time for the roof or the cathedral.
Rooftop guide →Roof only
If time is short, a rooftop-only ticket skips the church: €16 with the stairs or €18 with the lift in 2026. Last entry is at 18:00 for every area.
A day plan that works
Two ways to order the day. Both start with the Last Supper booking.
| Plan | How it runs | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Last Supper in the morning | Book an early slot, see the painting, take the metro to the Duomo for a midday or afternoon slot | Visitors who want the scarcer Last Supper slot first |
| Duomo first | Cathedral and roof in the morning, a later Last Supper slot, with a buffer for the metro and the 30 minutes at the desk | Visitors who only find a late Cenacolo slot |
For most visitors, the first plan is simpler: the Last Supper has the fewest slots, and the Duomo can take a time slot to match. Keep the Duomo's last entry of 18:00 in mind for the second plan, and use the Duomo opening hours to check the days.

Duomo and Last Supper tour: frequently asked questions
Is there a combined Duomo and Last Supper ticket?
No joint ticket is sold for the two. You book the Last Supper with the museum and the Duomo separately. Guided tours are separate products, so read what each one includes before you pay.
Can I buy a Last Supper ticket at the door?
No. A reservation is always required beforehand, including for children and free tickets. Do not assume tickets are free on the day you want.
Is the Last Supper in the Duomo?
No. It is in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie, a separate sight in another part of the city.
How long do you get in front of the painting?
You are allowed 15 minutes in the room, with up to 40 people per slot.
Can I do both on a Monday?
Not fully. The Last Supper is closed on Mondays, so choose another day, or visit the Duomo on its own.
Is this the official Last Supper or Duomo website?
No. This is an independent visitor guide. Both tickets are sold by the sites' own operators, and we only explain how the two fit into one day.
